Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AutoSocialMedia (the "Service"), operated by an independent developer. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Purpose of the Service
AutoSocialMedia is software that automates parts of a content workflow: it may retrieve or process news-style source material, generate scripts and narration using AI (including OpenAI GPT-4o and text-to-speech), assemble short-form video files (for example with FFmpeg), and publish content to connected social accounts when you explicitly configure it to do so. The Service is provided as a tool for account owners who want to streamline their own publishing; it does not guarantee views, monetization, or compliance with any platform's future policy changes beyond your obligation to follow applicable rules.
2. No resale of your data
We do not sell your personal information. OAuth tokens and related credentials are used solely to perform publishing actions you request on your behalf. We do not license, broker, or commercially resell your data to third parties for their independent marketing or profiling purposes. Third-party platforms (such as TikTok, Google/YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, and OpenAI) process data according to their own terms and privacy policies when you use their APIs or services through the Service.
3. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content you create, schedule, or publish using the Service, including accuracy, copyright, trademarks, likeness rights, disclosures, and compliance with laws and platform rules. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for any source material, scripts, audio, video, and destinations you configure. You must keep your accounts, API keys, and devices secure. You must not use the Service to harass, defraud, spam, impersonate, or distribute malware. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, export controls, and sanctions.
4. TikTok API usage and platform compliance
Where the Service integrates with TikTok or other social products, you must comply with each platform's developer terms, content policies, brand guidelines, rate limits, and technical requirements. You may only use official APIs and documented flows supported by those platforms. You must not attempt to circumvent security, quotas, or review processes. If a platform revokes access, suspends your app, or restricts features, you remain bound by these Terms and must stop using integrations in any way that violates the platform's instructions.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service to: (a) publish unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or deceptive content; (b) infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; (c) scrape, harvest, or exploit personal data from platforms in violation of their policies; (d) interfere with or disrupt the Service or third-party infrastructure; (e) reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits; or (f) assist anyone else in doing any of the above.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE OPERATOR OF AUTOSOCIALMEDIA BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR INTEGRATIONS WITH THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (I) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, IF ANY, OR (II) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), IF APPLICABLE LAW ALLOWS SUCH A CAP. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Service repository, release notes, or other reasonable means where available. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
